WELCOME

You are likely here because you feel stuck. Let me help you get un-stuck.

Ive been there - because i’m human. Complex or single-incident trauma, life transitions, and grief of all types can lead us into a dizzying array of symptoms and behaviours that seem unchangeable. Let’s make sense of these patterns and co-construct you’re own tailored roadmap to change.

Emotional dysregulation - Grief - Trauma - Self-esteem

EmotionFocusedTherapy, Narrative, and Trauma-Informed care (including EMDR therapy and Internal Family Systems) are at the core of my services - because I believe that all behaviour comes from somewhere learned or experienced. Even those mistakes you might have made, or those ‘hated behaviours’ you’re still beating yourself up for. And, knowledge is power. I have seen again and again that only until we can identify the ‘why’ behind our challenges - emotional dysregulation, interpersonal difficulties, anxiety, depression, or otherwise - can we then look towards change:

Towards living life in accordance with our values, and being kinder to ourselves when we inevitably falter along the way. We are human after all.

MY NAME IS SASHA

She, Hers

I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor(RCC) in good standing with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), holding a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology (MEd) from Simon Fraser University. My training and work (this includes work on myself, of course, as well) has taken place on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, also known as Greater Vancouver - out of the privilege of being born here, but also out of a sense of commitment: I see many people struggling and I also know there are ways to lessen that struggle.

Over the past 13 years I have worked at a variety of mental health and social service settings, including SFU Health & Counselling Services, our local Health Authority, and in private counselling practice. I continue to support humans in differing levels of economic stability, those with challenging family dynamics, people with neurodiversity and compromise bodies, and LGBTQ2S + folks.

Above all, I am an ‘open book’. Please feel free get in touch with questions.
